1.27.07 - Baby Evan's Shower

Patti and I held a baby shower at our house for Baby Evan's. It was a nice party with fun party games thanks to all of Patti's planning. It turned out very nice. Patty made the cutest diaper cake for the new baby.

1.20.07 - 60th Anniversary Party

We had David's Grandparent's 60th Wedding Anniversary party at FCBC Church. It was really nice, there was Antonio's for Dinner, then Shaun and Ashley provided music for all. It ended up being a lovely evening and everyone present seemed to have a wonderful time.

12.31.06 - New Year's Eve

We went to the Moore House to celebrate and we had a wonderful time spending time with our friends and we exchanged Christmas presents with the Moore's, we will have to catch the Evan's family later, but they are MUCH closer so that should be easy. We all worked on our blogs and we finally set Kerri and Patty up a blog! Now we just have to help them keep it up to date (I have had challanges with this lately also).

12.27.06 - Going to Paw Paw's Country

We made the trip to the lovely little town of Jewett TX where Nana & Paw Paw's other house is. We had a nice time walking in the woods and enjoying the peace and quiet! It was so nice. Here is a photo of Grant and I peeking around a tree at David. We had such a relaxing time up there.

Thursday when we left we were stuck behind two accidents on 45 and we did not move for three hours! I had planned on soaking in the tub by 10:30 and we did not arrive home until 1:30!

12.25.06 - Santa is Coming to Town

The fluffy man in the red suit visited Grant last night and he woke up at 6 AM!!! So much for sleeping late while on vacation. Well I guess Grant must have been on Santa's nice list because he received lots of cool presents.

12.24.06 - Christmas Eve Party

Every Christmas Eve we go to David's Aunt & Uncle's House for Pizza and family time. It is always so much fun, and it is the only time we see some of them all year long. It was a really nice time and we took the annual family photo but this year they moved from the staircase to the front porch that runs almost the length of the house.

12.23.06 - Spaghetti Warehouse

When David's aunt and uncle are in town we always meet them at Spaghetti Warehouse downtown for dinner. We had a great time and a larger than typical group showed up for the event and we all had a really nice time.

12.20.06 - McKay Family Christmas Party

Today was the Christmas get-together for the McKay Grandchildren (Grant (3) & Lauren(4)). We had a lovely dinner and then we exchanged Christmas presents afterwards. It was a really nice time, and the kiddo's really enjoyed getting to spend time together.

12.11.06 - David Leaving for California

Well today David left for California, and it did not help that he left before Grant woke up so he did not get to tell Daddy goodbye! It is extremely difficult to explain to an almost four year old, so I whipped out the handy dandy planner, so I could mark off the days as they passed.

12.9.06 - Kayla's Birthday

After the alarm event we headed off to Kayla's Birthday Party, We had a great time with the crafts party that Rachel Planned. Grant loved the craft activities and brought home several craft projects (some of which are still on the fridge). Our sidewalk chalk was not dry yet so we had to leave it at their house (Oh Darn! It was BLACK!!!) David still dosen't know what he has been missing. Kayla received some really cool presents and I would have photos, but for some reason I can't remember to take my camera ANYWHERE LATELY!

12.9.06 - Gingerbread House

Today we went up to the Church for the first annual Ginger Bread House Building Party. It was really fun, afterwards we went home as david headed to church for choir practice. Well David set the house alarm for the first time and did not realize that we had already made it home from church. I forgot the code for the alarm and I finally remembered it and entered it correctly, but I was not aware that the alarm company had already called David and he told them that we were not at home so they dispatched the DP Police on a home invasion call. all the while I have no clue what is going on until David calls me and asks where I am at, because he is heading home to meet the police who hopefull by the time he arrives will have arrested the intruder (his WIFE). Well when I told him that I was at home there was just a long silence as he is processing what is going on! He finally tells me to get Grant and go outside so that they will realize what is going on when the police arrive. Another crazy day at the McKay house!

One day we will learn to effectively communicate!

12.2.06 - Emma's Birthday

Today we went to the Moore Family's new house for Emma's Birthday party (it is BEAUTIFUL). It was so great to get to see everyone! It is so weird to go from seeing people almost every day (living next to them) to only occasionally seeing them. Glad that we are still seeing everyone!
