1.17.09 -- Road Trip

Well today we hopped into the car and drove to San Marcos, TX and went outlet mall shopping! We were there till about 5 and then drove to San Antonio to enjoy a nice dinner at Rio Rio. We ate on the pattio overlooking the riverwalk and enjoyed the nice crisp January night air with great Mexican food. It was a lovely evening. Then we left and came home.

1.12.09 -- Christmas Present

Here is a photo of Grant with his big Christmas present from us this year. He really wanted a basketball goal and we thought that it would be a good way to get him and the neighbor kiddo's out and active little did we know that the little boy next door got one also! He still loves it and for the record David likes it too!

1.11.09 -- Reid's 5th Birthday

Today we went to Reid's other Grandparents house to celebrate his 5th Birthday. Grant was so excited becuase now they are the same age! Reid's Mimi threw an excellent party with all of the old party games (Grant won the egg in the spoon run) and then they all went fishing in the pool (didn't catch a darn thing) and after that they pulled out the speed boats and raced them around the pool. They all had a wonderful time!

1.09.09 -- After Christmas Shopping

It was funny today I hit the 80% off sale at Hobby Lobby (to be truthful 2 Hobby Lobbies) and I found the items that I am going to use to decorate my kitchen next year. I saw my neighbor's kitchen and it was so lovely that I wanted to do something similiar. I found exactly what I wanted and when David came home I had put it up on the cabinets to see how it would look. It was pretty funny because he had this really confused look and said "I thought we were taking the Christmas decorations down?" I reassured him that I just wanted to see how they would look because I just could not wait until next year to see.

1.1.09 -- Bunny Business

Well tonight we stopped by Grandma & Grandpa McKay's and Grandma gave Grant the book Bunny Business by Nancy Poydar it is a really cute book where they are going to do a play in their "bunny" costumes and at the end there are instructions to make your very own bunny ears so we made a set for Grant and we thought that we would share...

1.1.09 -- Happy New Year

Wow it is weird that 2009 is already here. We are thankful for a wonderful 2008 and we are prepared to move on into 2009 and look forward to the blessings that he has in store for us this year.
