11.26.07 - My Guys are Sick

Well first it was David and then it was Grant. We have pretty much been in isolation this week and it has really been a drag. Stock hint...Buy stock in the corporation that holds Lysol and Oust. I am confident that I have affected their bottom line this last week. (knocking on wood) I am still fine :-)

11.22.07 - Thanksgiving

This year we have many things to be thankful for:

- Dad (Paw Paw) being with us to celebrate.
- Our Friends
- One year in our new house.
- Our Family
- My health (after my surgery in March)
- Our Jobs
- Another memorable year.
- The fact that we understand who we need to be thankful to...

I pray for continued blessings in the upcoming year.

11.21.07 - Family Photos

Yep, it is that time of the year again. We stopped by before Thanksgiving to get the yearly family studio photos...

Again I bought the copyright and I thought that they turned out pretty cute.

11.14.07 - Emergency Surgery

Well tonight after Church we received a call from Nana that they were taking Paw Paw in for Surgery. This was quite a shock! I went up to the hospital and spent the night with mom in the waiting room. Around 3PM I went home to try to get a little sleep. It was a very stressful night. Thankfull we were blessed with a very positive outcome.

11.3.07 - Exciting Saturday

Today we went to the Galleria and we suprised Grant by purchasing our Disneyworld tickets! We had this wonderful dramatic suprise planned but he really dosen't understand so it really didn't have the impact that we had hoped for. We met up with Danny and Patti and the Girls and had lunch and went to the Zoo for the remainder of the afternoon. We all had a really nice and relaxing day. The kiddo's were exhausted and I called Patty while we were on the way home and in turns out that all of the kiddo's were crashed. I will post photos later.

11.2.07 - Friday Night Lights

Well tonight marks another night of Football in Texas! We have had a blast following our local team and it looks like they will make it at least into the first round of the playoffs. Next weeks game is a really important game for us and a "MAROON OUT" is planned for Friday night. OH YEA, by the way we won again, and it was a shut out, Jared the son of a guy that I work with had a WONDERFUL touch down that was worthy of any ESPN highlights reel.

10.31.07 - Halloween

Tonight we started out the night at Trunk-R-Treat at Church. Then we headed home to meet up with the Evans Family. Together we went to a few of the houses in our neighborhood. We had a nice time. Kayla and Dylan were too cute.

10.29.07 - World Vision

Tonight we signed up to adopt a child with World Vision. This is a great Christian organization that is dedicated to making life changing happenings in the lives of children living in third world countries. We adopted Aliou (we call him Al) he is a four year old little boy living in Senegal. We received a kit with photos and information on him and his family.

Tonight we are playing one of our biggest rivals (the town we use to live in) in past years there have been streakers and many other exciting happenings during the game so hopefully this year will live up to the.

10.20.07 - Moore's Halloween Party

Tonight was the famous Moore Halloween Party! As always it was a memorable night and was LOTS OF FUN. (Someone, please send me photos to add) Since the Moore's decided to move to Egypt we spent the night so that we were not on the road too late. Many Thanks to Danny and Patti for yet another wonderful Halloween Party (it just gets better every year).

10/.19.07 - Casting Crowns

Tonight we went to the the Casting Crowns concert at the Toyota Center. It was wonderful! They have some great new songs and they sang many of their old hits that are so wonderful. It was a wonderful evening. Grant was disapointed becuause they did not sing American Dream, but he still enjoyed it.

10/6/2007 - Race for the Cure

It has almost been one year since we lost my Cousin Cale to breast cancer. Today Grant and I walked in the kid/family walk at the Houston Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. We were standing at the starting line listening to everyone give their speeches when the sky broke loose and began to pour. I was so soaked, but I am still glad that we did this.

9.12.07 -Tropical Storm Humberto

Well today we found out that we were going to have a tropical storm hit that night (nothing like advance notice) well at the very last minute it made a sharp turn and went NE of us so once again that region took another hit for us! Thank you Lord! We really appreciate the answered prayers.

9.16.07 - Church, Lunch, Zoo, Train, Church

Well we had a fun packed day! We started the day at Church the we went to the Brisket house for lunch. After that we went to the Houston Zoo. They have a new baby Griaffe and she was SOOOOOO Cute, we also stopped by to say hello to Mac the baby elephant, he is almost 1 yo (on Aunt Paula's birthday, sorry Paula he is cuter). When we left the Zoo we stopped to ride the Herman Park Train (this is the same train that both of us rode as children also). There was a little boy sitting behind us that was from Colorodo Springs, CO (why on earth would they be visiting Houston). We finished up the day the same way that we started it (at Church) for the finacial planning series that we are doing. It was a really busy and satisfying day.
